Paris St Germain-Valencia Betting Preview: Why the price for a home win looks attractive to punters

Our Spanish expert Phil Kitromilides believes Valencia's recent habit of conceding goals will see them lose this evening in the French capital
Valencia will have to produce something special this evening if they are to join their compatriots Real Madrid in the last eight of the Champions League.

Los Che head to Paris trailing 2-1 from the first leg of their tie against PSG, yet it was not just the defeat last month that was alarming for Ernesto Valverde's men but also the extremely comfortably manner with which it was achieved by the French side. Coral price Valencia at 16/5 (4.20) to win tonight yet there will be few punters rushing to back them.

Much more attractive is the price of 5/6 (1.83) for a home win, with PSG extremely strong in the French capital. Indeed the Ligue 1 leaders are unbeaten at Parc des Princes since November having won nine of their last last 10 matches there.

Conversely Valencia have not shown the kind of form in La Liga recently needed for them to progress this evening.

While Los Che have not been losing too many games, what they have been doing is conceding goals and sloppy goals at that, with their opponents scoring twice in three of their last four matches.

PSG have only failed to score once in their last 18 home matches, and against a leaky Valencia defence they should be expected to do so again tonight.

That should put them on their way to victory and the price of 5/6 (1.83) for a home win for a side with a home record as strong as PSG's looks too good to miss.

For a value bet back another 2-1 win for Carlo Ancelotti's men available at 8/1 (9.00).
