Money back on Real Madrid-Manchester United if Cristiano Ronaldo scores

Money back on Real Madrid-Manchester United if Cristiano Ronaldo scores

Latest Manchester United-Real Madrid Betting Preview: Why the visitors will score in each half at Old Trafford Previous Next Betting Special: Who will be coaching Real Madrid next season?

Paddy Power have announced that they will refund losing bets on selected bets if the former Red Devil finds the net at Old Trafford on Tuesday

Tuesday's Champions League clash at Old Trafford is poised at 1-1 after the first leg and Paddy Power have announced that they will be refunded all losing bets on first and last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast markets (up to £50) if Ronaldo scores anytime.

Manchester United are 2/1 (3.0) to win with match with Paddy Power, Real Madrid retain the tag of favourites at 13/10 (2.30) to win in 90 minutes, the draw is 5/2 (3.50).

The Portugal international is often forced to compete with Lionel Messi for the limelight domestically Ronaldo has outshone his Liga rival in recent weeks, scoring twice in a 3-1 win for Jose Mourinho's side over the Catalunya club in the Copa del Rey last week.

Ronaldo scored the equaliser in the first leg and has 24 league goals to his name from just 23 starts this season so this refund has every chance of rewarding Paddy Power customers with a refund.

Robin van Persie is 9/2 (5.50) to score first with Wayne Rooney a 13/2 (7.50) shot for Sir Alex Ferguson's side. Javier Hernandez has made late goals his speciality this season and he is 8/1 (9.0) to be the last name on the scoresheet.

Danny Welbeck is 10/1 (11.0) to repeat his opening strike from the previous clash. Shinji Kagawa notched a hat-trick against Norwich at the weekend and he's 12/1 (13.0) to score the first goal in this game.

For the visitors, Ronaldo is 7/2 (4.50) to score the first goal while Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain can both be backed at 7/1 (8.0) to break the deadlock.

Sergio Ramos scored the winning goal in Saturday's Clasico and he's 20/1 (21.0) to score the final goal at Old Trafford while Rafael Varane has also shown his ability in the air of late and is 33/1 (34.0) to score last.

Another 1-1 draw would see extra time and leads the correct score market at 13/2 (7.50). A full range of the markets available can be found here.

Champions League final - LIVE!
German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will battle it out at Wembley for European glory. Get involved by sending us your thoughts via Twitter or Facebook! Hosted by Mark Doyle.

The whole sporting world is watching tonight. Indeed, not even the glitz and glamour on offer in Monte Carlo will get in the way of F1 driver Nico Rosberg watching the Champions League final. His mother might, though! Clad in a Bayern jersey with his name on the back, Rosberg was interviewed by Sky Sport Germany earlier and explained that his sole focus at the moment is finding somewhere to watch the game, given his Dortmund-supporting mother is threatening to disown him. "I might have trouble getting into the house!" he admitted.

Right, just over two hours to go until kick-off, so let's check in with our man Jay Jaffa, who says the atmosphere is already building at Wembley.

"Jurgen Klopp said in his pre-match press conference that were he to never make another Champions League final, he could die happy knowing that he took a team to the home of football - Wembley.

"And I can tell you as I look at the sea of yellow, black and red that fans of both sides feel similar - there are hordes of Dortmund and Bayern supporters already congregating around the national stadium, eagerly lapping up some late afternoon sun."
5:38 PM BST
It is this increasingly bitter rivalry between Bayern and Dortmund that almost guarantees fireworks at Wembley tonight, according to Bayern defender Dante, who spoke exclusively with Goal earlier this week.
5:34 PM BST
The aforementioned Gotze deal, and the way in which it was leaked to the press on the eve of Dortmund’s Champions League semi-final, first-leg clash with Madrid, has only intensified the antipathy between the two clubs, while, as you can see from the photo below, the man at the centre of the transfer has inevitably been caught in the crossfire. This is all nothing new, of course. Bayern may have loaned a cash-strapped Dortmund money a decade ago but the pair have been locked in a vicious – but entertaining – war of words in the wake of die Schwarzgelben’s subsequent re-emergence as a major force, and Daniel Buse and Enis Koylu have catalogued the best quotes here.
5:23 PM BST
Right, still plenty of time to go until kick-off, so why not get involved in our Champions League quiz on Twitter? Here's one to start you off:

After tonight, how many Champions League/European Cup finals will Bayern Munich have played in?
