Getafe-Real Zaragoza Betting Preview: Why backing both teams to score offers value to punters
After another successful week with three winners in the Copa del Rey, our man in Madrid, Phil Kitromilides, believes there should be goals in Friday's La Liga offering
Friday's game in La Liga is likely to be played out in a near-empty stadium, with Getafe's Coliseum Alfonso Perez devoid of spectactors at the best of times let alone during a spell of artic weather besetting the Spanish capital.William Hill offer more than 76 markets on this match yet sadly none of them are attendance based, as there is every chance that this will be the lowest attended game in the Spanish top flight this season.
While they may be a team lacking in fanbase, passion and history, what Getafe do possess is an excellent home record, unbeaten in their last nine matches in all competitions. Therefore the price of 10/11 (1.91) for them to claim another win this evening looks inviting, especially given Zaragoza's current form.
Indeed the side from Aragon are without a win in their last eight games, having lost three of their previous four matches on the road. Yet as we saw with Osasuna's unlikely win on Monday night at Levante, surprises are possible in this division, and the price of 3/1 (4.00) for a Zaragoza victory may tempt a few people.Nevertheless the outirght markets look little a little tricky to predict so what appears to be the best option is backing both teams to score at 10/11 (1.91).
Zaragoza have produced some decent away performances (if not results) this season, scoring at the Camp Nou as well as netting against the likes of Malaga and Valencia.
Getafe, meanwhile, have not kept a clean sheet for 11 matches with the two worst away teams in the division (Deportivo and Celta) both scoring at the Coliseum in recent weeks. So while there may be few people there to witness it, this could actually be an entertaining encouter with goals at both ends.
For a value bet, back Getafe to score exactly three goals at 6/1 (7.00) a selection which has paid out in three of their last four matches.
