Betting: Two Money Back Specials for Manchester City-Chelsea

Betting: Two Money Back Specials for Manchester City-Chelsea

Latest Barcelona-Sevilla Betting Preview: Back both teams to score at Camp Nou Previous
By Jim Knight

With a huge game in prospect at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Jim Knight takes a look at the best money back specials on offer as both teams battle for a vital win

Defending champions Manchester City take on Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday in what is a must-win game for the home side.

Roberto Mancini’s men could find themselves 15 points behind league leaders Manchester United before a ball is kicked in this game as Sir Alex Ferguson’s side travel to bottom side QPR on Saturday afternoon.

City are an industry-best price of Evens (2.00) to come away with all three points with Chelsea trading at 11/4 (3.75) with the Irish bookmaker, the draw is a 5/2 (3.50) shot.

The sides drew 0-0 earlier this season at Stamford Bridge and if this match ends in a draw, Paddy Power will refund all losing first and last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles on the match.

Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri gave the home side the points in a 2-1 win last season after Gary Cahill scored the opener for Chelsea and the City pair will be popular in the first goalscorer betting market.

Aguero is City’s second-highest scorer behind Edin Dzeko in the Premier League with nine league goals to date and is 5/1 (6.0) to be the first goalscorer of the game and the same price to hit the net last against Chelsea. Compatriot Carlos Tevez - who has netted seven times this term - is 11/2 (6.50) in both goalscorers' markets with Paddy Power.

Bet Victor also have a money back special for Sunday's big game.

If a red card is shown any time during the Manchester City v Chelsea match, BetVictor will refund losing correct score, first and last goalscorer, scorecast and man of the match bets on the game.

Bet Victor are one of the few firms to offer odds on who will be the Man of the Match and it can be a very profitable market for punters who can identify who the key players are likely to be.

David Silva leads the market at 6/1 (7.0) ahead of his fellow countryman Juan Mata at 13/2 (7.50). With the creativity that both players bring to their respective sides it's unsurprisng to see them out in front.

For those who believe it will be a striker who takes the award Sergio Aguero leads the way at 7/1 (8.0) while Carlos Tevez is a 10/1 (11.0) shot.

Rafael Benitez will hope that one, or both, of his front men can fire the Blues to a much needed victory after a lacklustre midweek performance and Demba Ba is priced at 10/1 (11.0) to be named the man of the match while out of form Fernando Torres can be backed at 14/1 (15.0), alongside Eden Hazard and Oscar.
