Our Spanish expert Phil Kitromilides believes Sunday's early kick-off time will mean the Catalan giants may take a while to get going at Camp NouBarcelona's first midday kick off of the season sees Getafe make the trip to Camp Nou with an ominous sense of doom. The side from the suburbs of Madrid have been in extremely poor form of late, with their only win in their last 10 matches coming last week at home to bottom club Deportivo.
An unlikely success for Luis Garcia's side in Catalunya can be backed at a massive 28/1 (29.00) with Bet Victor while Barcelona themselves are offered at just 1/11 (1.09), and those odds look just about right given the relative likelihood of both of those outcomes.
A couple of weeks ago Getafe played a midday game at the Bernabeu, and, while Real Madrid took a while to get into their stride that day, they put four past Getafe in the second half, with Cristiano Ronaldo saying after the match that his side were "still sleeping" in the opening 45 minutes.
There is of course the risk that the unusual early kick-off could see Barcelona make a sluggish start too so making any bets involving the first half is perhaps best avoided.
Instead back the second half to be the highest scoring half available at the appealing price of 20/21 (1.95) with BetVictor.
Against opposition set up to frustrate them and of course at the early kick-off time which is an important factor not to be dismissed, Barca may well struggle to make a high tempo start. Yet if they do they will surely come good in the second half making this bet a decent selection.
For a value bet back Barca to win by exactly two goals at 17/5 (4.40) a bet which has paid out on 10 occasions for the Catalans this season.
