Premier League Treble: Backing goals galore at Villa, Everton and Fulham

Premier League Treble: Backing goals galore at Villa, Everton and Fulham

Latest Notts County - Bury Betting Preview: Expect goals to be far and few between at Meadow Lane Previous

The most high-profile games may be reserved for Sunday, but Al Hain-Cole is expecting some serious goalfests on Saturday, and has picked out a treble worth just under 5/1

Premier League Treble
Aston Villa
VS
Southampton
Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
Tip: Over 2.5 goals at 10/11 (1.95) with William Hill

Aston Villa's Capital One Cup defeat to Bradford may have ranked as one of the shocks of the season, but their shoddy defending in that game will have surprised nobody.

Paul Lambert's men are missing senior centre-backs Richard Dunne and Ron Vlaar to long-term injuries, and it has certainly showed over the past few games.

The Villans currently have the worst defensive record in the Premier League, and have conceded a staggering 21 goals in only their last six matches.

Visitors Southampton have also struggled at the back this season, having kept just two clean sheets all season, and come into this match on the back of a 5-1 FA Cup thrashing at home to Chelsea.

A bet on over 2.5 goals to be scored would have paid out in each of Villa's last eight games, and William Hill's odds of 10/11 (1.91) seem to offer great value on that coming to pass when they face another side who are stronger going forwards than defending.

Everton
VS
Swansea City
Kick off: 15:00 GMT
Tip: Both teams to score at 4/5 (1.80) with William Hill

Nobody has won the LMA Manager of the Year on more occasions than David Moyes, but his counterpart on Saturday may be the early favourite to take that award this season.

Michal Laudrup has built on Brendan Rodgers' excellent work at Swansea City and appears to have taken the side to the next level, with the addition of Michu in particular giving them an extra dimension up front.

The most impressive aspect of The Swans' Capital One Cup victory at Stamford Bridge in midweek is that few were particularly surprised by the result, and their fluid attacking play has seen them hit the back of the net twice in each of the last four games.

Marouane Fellaini's evolution into a prolific goalscorer is almost enough to see him rival Michu as revelation of the season so far, and The Toffees always look dangerous with the big Belgian at the centre of their attacks.

The hosts have set a new Premier League record by becoming the first side to both score and concede in 16 consecutive games, and that run looks more than likely to continue against their exciting opponents, at generous 4/5 (1.80) odds.

Fulham
VS
Wigan Athletic
Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
Over 2.5 goals at 8/11 (1.73) with William Hill

With 13 defeats in the last 20 Premier League games between them, points have been few and far between for Fulham and Wigan recently, but there have certainly been no shortage of goals in those fixtures.

Unfortunately, most of those goals have been going in at the wrong end for both sides, as each have conceded around two goals a game in that time.

Martin Jol's side are always an exciting outfit to watch at Craven Cottage, and the return of Bryan Ruiz from injury has added an extra goal threat to their attack, as well as allowing Dimitar Berbatov - who has scored eight goals in 11 League games against The Latics - to move further forward.

This should serve them well against a side who have managed just three clean sheets in 21 league games this season, although they may need to score a few to ensure victory, considering they have only kept the opposition out on four occasions themselves.

At least three goals have been scored in 32 of this pair's 42 league games this season, so odds of 8/11 (1.73) are not to be missed on over 2.5 going in here.

Premier League Treble
Backing all three selections pays
49/10 (5.90) with William Hill
