Championship Treble: Wins for Palace and Leicester plus goals at both ends at Leeds

Championship Treble: Wins for Palace and Leicester plus goals at both ends at Leeds

New Year opens with a full complement of Championship games on Tuesday, and Al Hain-Cole hopes to get 2013 off to a good start with an accumulator worth a handy 7/2

Championship Treble
Leeds United
VS
Bolton Wanderers
Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
Tip: Both teams to score at 27/50 (1.54) with Marathon Bet

Two of the Championship's heavyweights go head-to-head at Elland Road, with both Leeds and Bolton having considerable ground to make up if they are to have any hope of fulfilling their promotion ambitions.

Neil Warnock's men finished 2012 with two consecutive league defeats, but have actually won their last four home games, and have only failed to score once in their own back yard all season.

The visitors have been frustratingly inconsistent since the appointment of Dougie Freedman, and results such as their recent 5-4 defeat at relegation-threatened Peterborough have ensured that entertainment is never in short supply.

The Trotters have hit the back of the net in 21 of their 25 league matches this season, but have only kept three clean sheets in that period.

A bet on both teams to score would have paid out in every Bolton away match apart from the first day of the season, so looks like a solid start to the treble at odds of 27/50 (1.54) with Marathon Bet.

Crystal Palace
VS
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Kick off: 15:00 GMT
Tip: Crystal Palace to win at 97/100 (1.97) with Marathon Bet

Before the season, if someone had tried to predict where Crystal Palace and Wolves would be sitting in the league at the start of the New Year, the majority would probably have placed the former in mid-table with the latter competing for automatic promotion.

As it is though, the Londoners are the ones who are flying high after losing just twice in the last 22 matches, while Stale Solbakken's men are in the doldrums after losing nine and winning just three of their last 15.

The Eagles are going through something of a lull after five games without a win, but have been slightly unfortunate considering the late goals and red cards that have gone against them during that run.

Ian Holloway's side are actually unbeaten in 11 matches at Selhurst Park, and will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing a Wolves team who looked positively lacklustre against Ipswich and Peterborough in the last two games, losing 3-0 and 2-0 against teams in the bottom six.

All in all, odds of 97/100 (1.97) seem very generous on the visitors falling to their eighth away defeat in 13 matches.

Leicester City
VS
Huddersfield Town
Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
Leicester to win at 53/100 (1.53) with Marathon Bet

Like Palace, Leicester have slipped away a bit over the last few games, but are still well on course for a promotion push as they sit comfortably within the play-off places.

The Foxes ended a difficult winless run of games by overcoming Burnley away on Saturday, and should be in a confident mood when Huddersfield visit the King Power Stadium, where only Crystal Palace and Cardiff have beaten them this season.

Nigel Pearson's men have won eight of their 12 games at home and should have no trouble in picking up all three points against The Terriers, who are without a victory in nine attempts.

The hosts ran out 2-0 winners when these sides met in Yorkshire back in October, and have come out on top in each of the last four encounters against Simon Grayson's men.

Seeing as the visitors have managed just two goals in their last four games, they are unlikely to trouble the league's tightest defence, odds of 53/100 (1.53) are not to be missed on a Leicester win here.

Championship Treble
Backing all three selections pays over
73/20 (4.65) with Marathon Bet
