Levante - Real Zaragoza Betting Preview: Why goals at both ends look likely tonight
With six winners in five days our Spanish expert Phil Kitromilides is in red hot form and he believes neither side will keep a clean sheet this evening
Levante and Real Zaragoza meet in the Copa del Rey this evening having both enjoyed excellent results at the weekend.Levante continued their superb form at home by thrashing Mallorca 4-0 while Zaragoza kept their first clean sheet of the season on the way to becoming the first team apart from Real Madrid and Barcelona to win at Rayo Vallecano, which they did 2-0.
Both sides will be acutely aware of the pscychological, not to mention financial, advantages that a good cup run can bring, and William Hill price Levante as favourites this evening at 10/11 (1.91). Zaragoza meanwhile can be backed at 16/5 (4.20) with the draw offered at 23/10 (3.30).
As mentioned previously, Levante are on an impressive run at the Ciutat de Valencia stadium having lost just twice in 15 competitive games there, with those defeats coming at the hands of Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively. The temptation then might be to back a home win, yet Zaragoza have on occasions been decent on the road. At the Camp Nou they put in a highly impressive performance against Barcelona, while their showing at the Bernabeu was arguably the most threatening of any visiting team in the league so far.
The side from Aragon lost both of those encounters, but they have won three times away from home and have scored in six of their nine competitive away games this season, including each of their last four matches.
Backing both teams to score then looks like a decent bet at 10/11 (1.91) especially when you consider that Levante have only failed to score once in their last 17 home matches.
For some higher odds, back a 1-1 draw between the two sides which is available at 6/1 (7.00) and could prove good value if the main bet lands and both teams find the net.
