thumbnail Hello,

While Gladbach and Panathinaikos are big names, both sides are out of form. Adam Bate thinks this presents opportunities and has a Europa League treble to consider

Atletico Madrid
VS
Academica Coimbra
Kick off: 15:00BST
Tip: Atletico to win at 2/11 (1.22) with Bet365

Joint top of La Liga with seven wins and a draw from their first eight games, Atletico Madrid are flying.

They have also thrashed Chelsea in the Uefa Super Cup in that period and come into this Europa League clash against Academica Coimbra on the back of 10 consecutive wins.

They also have Radamel Falcao, the Colombian sensation, who has netted 12 goals in his last seven games.

Academica Coimbra have won just one game all season – making the Atletico win a tip worth adding to any accumulator.

Panathinaikos
VS
Lazio
Kick-off: 15:00BST
Tip: Lazio to win at 6/5 (2.20) with Bet365

“This could be the story of a donkey who worked for 30 years and never became a horse,” said Jose Mourinho of Panathinaikos coach Jesualdo Ferreira.

It was a cruel remark but with the Greek side languishing down in seventh in the league and with just one win from their last nine games in all competitions this might not be the time to disagree with Mourinho.

Panathinaikos will have their work cut out in this one as they face a Lazio side that has enjoyed a superb start to the season, winning their last four and tasting victory nine times out of 12 this season. Back the Serie A club to pick up three points.

Borussia Monchengladbach
VS
Olympique Marseille
Kick off: 15:00BST
Tip: Marseille to win at 21/10 (3.10) with Bet365

This may look a tough game for French side Marseille in Germany but Borussia Monchengladbach are not in impressive form.

Gladbach have just one win in nine games and have endured a miserable start to this campaign – drawing at Limassol and being beaten 4-2 at home to Fenerbahce last time.

Given the summer exit of Marco Reus, Gladbach lack urgency in the final third and the odds flatter them here.

Marseille have picked up nine wins from their last 14 games and have enough to win against their Bundesliga opponents.
