Betting Special: Back Norwich City to be the final Premier League team to record a win
With the Canaries struggling to keep clean sheets, Phil Kitromilides believes there is profit to be made by backing them to be the final Premier League side to win a match
Those who followed the Goal Betting tips at the start of the season, for either Chris Hughton of Norwich City or Mark Hughes of QPR to be the first top-flight manager to be sacked, will be feeling highly satisfied with their investment. The team from Norfolk and the side from west London, along with Reading, are yet to win a match in the top flight.
William Hill offer an intriguing market on who will be the last to record a victory in the Premier League this season, allowing more chances for punters to profit from the respective side's misfortune.
Bottom of the table QPR are the outsiders in the market available at 9/4 (3.25). Yet the team from Shepherds Bush have a couple of tricky looking matches coming up, with an in-form Everton the next visitors to Loftus Road, before Mark Hughes takes his side to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal.
QPR's heavy investment in the players in the summer means they have a squad more than capable of ensuring a comfortable mid-table finish, but it remains to be seen how long the new faces will take to gel into a cohesive unit able to win matches.
Reading meanwhile are available at 15/8 (2.88) , with their next two games away at Liverpool and home to Fulham before a potential showdown with QPR at Loftus Road. Brian McDermott's side have been unlucky this season though, leading at Chelsea and Swansea as well as succumbing to a late goal at home to Newcastle United. They have played well enough to have earned a win and will surely record one soon.
The favourites in the book are Norwich City, and rightly so, with the Canaries offered at 11/10 (2.10) - a price well worthy of consideration.
Chris Hughton's side have been leaking goals at an alarming rate and have not looked like winning many of the seven matches they have played so far. With games against Arsenal and Tottenham looming the Canaries look to be in all sorts of trouble, yet the price of 11/10 (2.10) offers some real value and an excellent chance for punters to make some profit.
