France - Belarus Betting Preview: Back Les Bleus to exact revenge for Euro horrors

France - Belarus Betting Preview: Back Les Bleus to exact revenge for Euro horrors

Latest Barcelona-Sevilla Betting Preview: Back both teams to score at Camp Nou Previous

Georgi Kondratjev’s men grabbed a shock win when they visited Stade de France during Euro 2012 qualification but Willie Duncan expects Didier Deschamps' side to win on Tuesday

France got their World Cup 2014 qualifying campaign off to a winning start with a slender success over Finland in Helsinki on Friday night and Didier Deschamps’ side are red hot favourites to make it two wins from two when they welcome lowly Belarus to Paris on Tuesday evening.

Les Bleus are chalked up as 1/4 (1.25) shots with William Hill to see off the challenge of Belarus while Georgi Kondratjev’s side are priced up at a massive 12/1 (13.0) with William Hill to repeat their stunning triumph at Stade de France in the Euro 2012 qualification campaign. The same firm offer 9/2 (5.50) that the match ends all square.

While Belarus may have happy memories of recent meetings with Les Bleus, having taken four points from six when they met in qualifying for Euro 2012, there is little to suggest that Belarus will be able to muster a shock result on this occasion.

Indeed, last month’s 2-1 friendly win against Armenia was the only triumph that Kondratjev’s side has enjoyed in their last nine outings and they were defeated 1-0 in Georgia on Friday night.

Les Bleus will be eager for revenge after suffering that humiliating defeat to Belarus back in 2010 and are worthy of support here.

Didier Deschamps side will be keen to get on the front foot early and the 8/13 (1.62) from William Hill for
Les Bleus to lead at both half-time and full-time looks like an attractive price given that the home crowd will expect a fast start.

While France have struggled for goals in recent outings, there will surely be no such concern against a side which has conceded in eight of their last nine matches and, so, the 7/10 (1.70) quote from William Hill for
France (-1) has all the makings of the best bet in the market.

Should Les Bleus find their shooting boots, a 3-0 win for Deschamps’ side looks to be excellent value at 11/2 (6.50) with William Hill while the 6/1 (7.0) first goalscorer quote for Jeremy Menez, who started the match against Finland in a striking role, looks too big to ignore and should be backed accordingly here.
