Bristol City - Cardiff City Betting Preview: Bluebirds set to soar above the Robins

Bristol City were in fine form in midweek as they cruised to a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Ashton Gate, and Derek McInnes' side will be eager to build on that result when they play host to Malky Mackay's Cardiff City on Saturday.

The Bluebirds won their opening game of the season courtesy of late, late strike by captain Mark Hudson and were held by Brighton and Hove Albion in midweek but Mackay's men will be looking to record a victory at Ashton Gate and they are chalked up as 7/5 (2.40) favourites with PanBet to bag all three points.

The Robins, though, will have other ideas and Derek McInnes' team are rated as an 11/5 (3.20) chance with PanBet to pick up a second successive home win when the Bluebirds come to town. The same firm offer 47/20 (3.35) that both sides are forced to settle for a point apiece.

The Robins' home form was patchy at best last season with Derek McInnes' side winning just seven of their 23 home fixtures in the Championship, and the Scot will know that his side must improve on that record if they are to avoid a battle against relegation this term.
