LA Galaxy - Tottenham Betting Preview: Expect the goals to keep on flowing in California

Los Galacticos are in prolific form of late, and come up against a manager who likes to see his sides attack in numbers. Al Hain-Cole is anticipating action from start to finish

After kicking off the Villas-Boas era with a friendly win at Stevenage, Tottenham take their pre-season preparations over the Atlantic to begin their tour of the USA.

The American adventure kicks off with a glamorous game against LA Galaxy, where they will be greeted by the familiar face of former Spurs striker Robbie Keane.

Despite winning three of their last four league games, Los Galacticos are still 7/2 (4.50) outsiders with Paddy Power to overcome Premier League opposition in this match.

Spurs should field a strong team at the Home Depot Center, and with the players keen to impress their new manager, it's no surprise to see odds of 4/6 (1.67) on them coming out on top here.

Bruce Arena's team have only drawn five of their last 45 games, so you may want to steer clear of the draw market, which is currently available at 5/2 (3.50).

Galaxy possess one of the most potent attacks in the MLS but the loss of Landon Donovan and David Beckham to the All-star team to take on Chelsea later this week will be a blow to their chances.

This lethal forward line has seen their side plunder 22 goals in the last 8 games so they will hope they can break down the Spurs back line despite missing two of their key men. With Villas-Boas also known for his attacking football, we should be in for a high-scoring encounter.

Backing over 2.5 goals to go in should be a safe bet, but with odds of just 4/6 (1.67) on offer, you might want to be slightly bolder and go for over 3.5 at a more rewarding 7/4 (2.75).

This bet would have paid out in the Galaxy's last three successive league games.

Don't panic if the goals don't come instantly, as the Californians have a tendency leave plenty in reserve for late on.

Goals have been scored after the 75th minute in four of the last five games involving Los Galacticos, and when you consider that Tottenham's lack of fitness should see them waning as the game goes on, odds of 10/11 (1.91) on a goal in the final 15 minutes here seem too good to pass up.
