Saturday's Bet of the Day: Why Cruzeiro look value to cause Internacional problems

With Cruzeiro having won four of their last five matches, Phil Kitromilides believes the price of 13/8 for them to win a half against Internacional offers real value
Cruzeiro make the near thousand mile trip to the city of Porto Alegre to take on Internacional for a clash between two of Brazil's most historic clubs. Both teams have proud traditions and are one of five sides never to have been relegated from the top flight of Brazilian football.They have both also made solid starts to the new season having suffered just one defeat apiece in the seven matches played so far. Paddy Power price a home win at 4/6 (1.80) while the draw is offered at 12/5 (3.40).
It is the price for Cruzeiro however that looks tempting for a small value bet with the outfit from the city of Belo Horizonte available at 7/2 (4.50). For a side full of confidence after four wins in their last five matches, this looks on paper to be an attractive price especially as Internacional have only won one of their last four games.
But for serious investment, consider backing Cruzeiro to win either half, available at what looks like the highly appealing price of 13/8 (2.63). Cruzeiro have been scoring regularly with 11 goals in their last five matches and they will need to do so again for this selection to prove profitable.
With in-form striker Wellington Paulista forming a decent partnership with Anselmo Ramon up front, this side have goals in them and they should have enough to win at least a half against Internacional.
This bet has paid out in four of Cruzerio's last five matches and the price offers the possibility of some decent profit.
Alternatively, backing both teams to score looks like a fairly solid selection at 8/11 (1.73).
With Cruzeiro having scored in each of their last five matches and Internacional netting in six of their last seven, both teams will fancy their chances of scoring. Yet the odds do not appeal as much as those offered for Cruzeiro to win a half and the wise money will be invested in that market.
