thumbnail Hello,

Betting industry expert Pete Nordsted has analysed the statistics around the Premier League champions' trip to Molineux and is backing the visitors to win by a small margin

The next set of Premier League games are spread over five days, with the two table-topping Manchester clubs playing at opposite ends of the fixture list.

On Sunday, Alex Ferguson’s side make the trip to Molineux to take on a Wolves team that look short on confidence after losing their last two matches - 5-0 at Fulham and 2-0 at home to Blackburn.

However, there is nothing like the challenge of facing the table-topping champions to focus efforts; and in truth Wolves' form against sides of Manchester United's stature is not too shabby.

Indeed, Wolves have only lost by two or more goals in four of their last 10 games to sides graded the same to United, and the visitors have only won four of their last 10 away to sides of Wolves’ grading by two or more goals. Wolves +1.5 goals on the Asian handicap at 37/40 (1.92) with Bet365 has a certain appeal.

A stronger stat, though, is the fact that Manchester United have won seven of their last eight away victories to teams of Wolves' grading by one or two goals.

Dutching (backing both outcomes to equal profit) the Manchester United winning margin by one or two goals certainly looks a strong option and this pays a 9/10 (1.90) on Bet 365, and is a considerable improvement on the 1/3 (1.33) currently on offer for the Premier League champions to win the game.
