Thursday's Bet of the Day: A low scoring game between Novara and Chievo
Both Chievo and Novara are struggling in the bottom half of Serie A and Phil Kitromilides is predicting a close, low scoring encounter on Thursday evening

When two struggling teams meet in Serie A, there is normally only one bet to invest in, and that is under 2.5 goals. This game is no different.
Novara are rooted to the bottom of the table and hurtling head first back to Serie B unless they can start to win games - they have only two victories all season.
Their problems in front of goal have become more acute over the last few weeks, having scored just once in their last four league games.
Chievo meantime look like they will be safe, partially down to their fairly strong form at home, and partially also down to the there appearing to be three weaker teams in the division.
If, as expected they do survive, it will not be down to their away form, which has seen them win only one of ten matches away from Verona, scoring just seven goals in the process.
A classic encounter it almost certainly will not be this evening, and a low scoring affair looks highly likely. The price of 8/13 (1.61) offered by Bet365 may not be a huge one, but it is big enough to take for a solid bet.
To continue on the theme of goals being few and far between, why not delve into the correct score market for a value bet? The goalless draw is available at 7/1 (8.00) and could well prove to be worthy of some investment albeit on a lower scale than the unders.
