Wednesday's Bet of the day extra: Goals expected when Arsenal travel to Bolton

Both sides have been involved in high scoring encounters recently and Adam Bate is backing goals when the two meet at the Reebok Stadium.

Arsenal need to get back to winning ways in the Premier League as they visit Bolton on Wednesday evening having lost their last three league games.

The Gunners did manage to turn around a 2-0 half-time deficit to beat Aston Villa at the weekend and will be hoping that could be the catalyst for a renewed tilt at the top four. Arsenal are 9/13 (1.69) to win with 188Bet.

Bolton will be optimistic of causing an upset at the Reebok Stadium, however. Owen Coyle’s men have endured a miserable season but come into this one after winning three home games in just 11 days, including a surprise 3-1 victory over Liverpool.

If they can match that result against Arsenal, it would suggest the corner has been turned and Bolton could move clear of the drop zone. You can back Bolton to win at 19/5 (4.8) with 188Bet.

Whether or not they can achieve that feat, it is reasonable to expect goals at the Reebok Stadium. Bolton are the only team in the Premier League to have seen two or more goals in every one of their games this season. Coyle’s men have weaknesses at the back, especially with Gary Cahill now having departed for Chelsea, but can still provide a goal threat at the other end.

It is a similar story at Arsenal – 81.8% of their away games feature more than 2.5 goals, second only to Bolton. And so, it is the overs market that provides the Bet of the Day in this one - over 2.5 goals is available at 13/19 (1.68) with 188Bet.

The value bet meets the over 2.5 goals criteria and the pick is to go for a 2-1 Arsenal win at 15/2 (8.5) with 188Bet.

That is a good price for a highly plausible scoreline that has been seen 39 times this season already in the Premier League – and one that Arsene Wenger would surely welcome as he aims to get back Arsenal’s season back on track.

Bet of the Day – Over 2.5 goals at 13/19 (1.68) with 188Bet

Value Bet – Arsenal to win 2-1 at 15/2 (8.5) with 188Bet
