It is a big night for Watford at Vicarage Road as they host Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday evening. The Championship club defeated Bradford 4-2 at home to secure this tie, although their recent form has not been great.

The Hornets come into this one on the back of defeats to Reading and Birmingham and will need an upturn in fortunes to cause an upset. The hosts are the outsiders at 53/10 (6.3) to win.

As for their Premier League visitors, Tottenham have played as well as anyone in the country this season and have a good record away from home. Spurs have won more than half their Premier League matches on their travels and are scoring an average of nearly two goals a game.

With a home match against Wigan on Tuesday evening, there may be some players rested for this one but Spurs’ second-string were solid enough in their Europa League encounters away from White Hart Lane – conceding just one goal in three games.

It is the strength of that Spurs squad that makes an away win our Bet of the Day. Watford’s home record is not the best with just five wins in 14 at Vicarage Road and with Sean Dyche’s men still missing the impetus that the loan signing of Michael Kightly gave them, it will be a big ask to avoid defeat, even with the home crowd behind them. Tottenham are 1/2 (1.5) with 188Bet to get the victory.

For the value bet in this one it is important to look at Watford’s record of fading in matches.

Despite the Hornets’ lowly league position, they have scored more goals in the first half of games than they have conceded. However after the interval, Watford have let in nearly twice as many goals as they have netted. That is an ominous sign when you are up against Premier League opposition. The Value Bet of the day is to go draw/Tottenham in the half-time/full-time market at 16/5 (4.2) with 188Bet.

Bet of the Day – Tottenham win at 1/2 (1.5) with 188Bet

Value Bet – draw/Tottenham at half-time/full-time at 16/5 (4.2) with 188Bet
