thumbnail Hello,

While Napoli may have home advantage, top tipster Adam Bate is backing goals and an in form Inter Milan to progress in this Coppa Italia tie

It’s the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia and Napoli host Inter in Naples. With a two-legged semi-final against the winner of the Chievo and Siena tie, the winner of this one will be confident of reaching the final, and that should give both managers enough incentive to field a strong side.

Napoli are 11/8 (2.38) favourites to win the match with Bet365 and that reflects their home advantage. Just how much of an advantage that could prove to be is open to debate.

Napoli have only the tenth-best home record in Serie A and have conceded 62% of their league goals at Stadio San Paolo. There is certainly a case to be made that their counter-attacking style is better suited to playing away from home.

Napoli will certainly need to be on their game if they are to halt Italy’s form team, Inter. Claudio Ranieri took the reins earlier in the season to a lukewarm reception but his side have now won seven on the bounce to emerge as genuine title contenders once more.

Five of their league wins this season have come on the road and that is one more than Napoli have won on home soil. Inter can be backed at 2/1 (3.0) with Bet365 and that’s our value bet in this match.

But the bet of the day has to be backing both teams to score in this one. Only Novara and Lecce have conceded more than Napoli at home and Inter are a safe bet to find a way through at some point.

With only Palermo having scored more Serie A goals in front of their own fans, Napoli should also get off the mark. Backing both teams to score at 5/6 (1.83) with Bet365 seems the best way to go.

Bet of the Day – Both teams to score at 5/6 (1.83) with Bet365

Value Bet – Inter to win at 2/1 (3.0) with Bet365
