It’s fair to say that this year’s promoted Premier League clubs have performed well beyond expectations but who do you think will gain the most points this season amongst the trio?
Sportingbet have priced up a market on Top Promoted Club this season and it is Paul Lambert’s Norwich City side who are the odds on favourites at 19/20 (1.95). The Norfolk club currently sit ninth in the Premier League and have lost just once in their last seven games. While they have not beaten any of the top sides so far, they have performed with great credit against all of them. Are Lambert’s side the best shout at 19/20 (1.95)?
Next in the betting are the refreshing Swansea City at 5/4 (2.25) who have won a host of admirers for their brand of attacking football.
The high point of their season came last weekend in their well-deserved 3-2 win over Arsenal. Brendan Rogers’ side are 10th in the table at present on 26 points, two behind market leaders Norwich.
Despite finishing above Norwich and Swansea last season in the Championship, QPR have struggled to keep up with them in the first half of this campaign. It’s been a fractious season for the West London club who have replaced Neil Warnock with Mark Hughes in the dugout.
They began the season well with wins over arch rivals Chelsea and against Stoke at the fearsome Britannia Stadium, but since their famous victory over Andre Villas-Boas’ side they have won just once in 12 Premier League matches.
Sportingbet have them at 5/1 (6.0) to finish above Norwich and Swansea. It is very possible though that the appointment of Hughes could be just the tonic to inspire QPR to go on a good run and that 5/1 (6.0) may end up being good value.
So who is your pick for Top Promoted Team? Norwich at 19/20, Swansea 5/4 or the outsiders QPR at 5/1?
