Tuesday's Bet of the Day: Premier League class to show through when QPR host MK Dons

These two sides drew 1-1 in their first match and although MK Dons are on a good run of form, in-form tipster Adam Bate can only see a victory for Mark Hughes and QPR

Mark Hughes’ reign as QPR boss began with defeat at Newcastle and he now faces a tricky FA Cup replay against MK Dons in his first game in charge at Loftus Road.

Only a late Heidar Helguson goal kept the Premier League side in the competition the first match between the two and the League One visitors will still fancy their chances of finishing the job. You can back them at 11/4 (3.75) with 188Bet to do just that.

The Milton Keynes club are well rested after the debacle of the weekend that saw their league game at home to Carlisle called off at short notice due to a frozen pitch, this should have allowed them a welcome break after a hectic period of fixtures.

But this QPR team will also be fresh – it’s difficult to see Hughes picking many of the players who featured at Newcastle a little over 48 hours earlier, especially as he looks to assess the full extent of his players.

Indeed, this will be a huge chance for some of QPR’s fringe squad to impress the new manager. As such, this might be the game where we see the effect of the new boss – especially in front of the home fans.

QPR are available at a good price of 7/8 (1.88) with 188Bet and that’s the bet of the day in this fixture, Premier League class should show through against a side who compete two divisions lower than Rangers and the price offers very good value.

In fact, it’s highly likely QPR will come flying out the traps eager to impress and 188Bet also offer a the home side to be leading at the half-time interval at 32/21 (2.52). The magic of the cup is good fun for pundits but generally best avoided for punters – back the two division gulf to be the difference for QPR on home turf.

Bet of the Day – QPR to win at 7/8 (1.88) with 188Bet

Value Bet – QPR to lead at HT at 32/21 (2.52) with 188Bet
