Weekend La Liga tips: A tight game in Granada v Levante & high-scoring victories for Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao

Another packed weekend of La Liga action is upon us - Ed Malyon previews the action and picks out three bets from across Spain's top division
Granada vs Levante

Tip: Under 2.5 goals at 1.53 with Bet365

Following a startling beginning to the season, Levante have tailed off somewhat and have only taken five points from a possible 18 recently. Granada are on decent form, although two consecutive defeats have dampened their spirits somewhat.

The Andalucians have conceded just four in their last six but, having scored only eight all season, their problem clearly lies in front of goal. Granada games have averaged a paltry 1.53 goals each and you can back under 2.5 goals at the coincidentally-priced 1.53. If you think it could be even tighter, then under 1.5 goals is 2.75.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Betis

Tip: Atletico Madrid win & over 2.5 goals at 2.20 with Bet365

Real Betis' poor form received a boost last week with a stunning injury-time turnaround to beat Valencia. They should struggle, though, against an Atletico Madrid side who desperately need a win if coach Gregorio Manzano is going to keep his job.

The price is slim, but Bet365 offer a special Atletico win/over 2.5 goals double at 2.2, which is our bet given that the hosts' last seven league games have all seen three or more goals.

Athletic Bilbao vs Real Zaragoza

Athletic Bilbao -1 handicap at 2.2 with Bet365

The visitors' horrendous form (just one point from their last six games) is something to take advantage of here as managerial genius Marcelo Bielsa continues to mould the Basque lions into his image.

Only Barcelona and Real Madrid have had more possession, and only Barca have had more corners. The sheer volume of chances created should be enough for Athletic to win by a few goals and we will be backing them on the -1 handicap at 2.2.
