La Liga's big game this weekend is at the Mestalla where Los Blancos are aiming to keep their impressive winning form running against a resurgent Los Che
Real are currently on a run of league wins that would reach eight if they were to triumph at the Mestalla. This would be their best ever run under current boss Jose Mourinho. Los Blancos have notched 10 victories in a row in all competitions and are absolutely flying. Of those 10 victories, nine have been by two goals or more.
Valencia's form is decent but their run of four consecutive triumphs has come against weaker sides in the division and Real will be a different proposition. Back the visitors at -1 on the Asian Handicap at 2.05 and if they only squeak by Los Che, then you will have your stake returned.
Tip: Real Madrid -1 Asian Handicap @ 2.07
Real Madrid games - as you may have noticed - tend to bring a lot of goals and they are top of the La Liga average goals table. Matches they are involved in have seen a mean of 4.18 goals each, while Valencia can only claim 2.36 - despite not yet having partaken in a goalless draw.
Over 2.5 goals seems a certainty but 1.55 is not very tempting, whilst over 3.5 is 2.35. Our pick, though, is to capitalise on Real Madrid's better scoring record in the second period. Averaging two goals in the second half of each game, there is value in the 1.8 for over 1.5 second-half goals.
Tip: Over 1.5 second half goals @ 1.80
Valencia will have threats but it's probably most sensible to be looking at the Real players in the goalscorer markets. Jonas scored for Brazil this week but may not even make the starting line-up for the hosts and the only player that can be relied on in front of goal is ex-Madrid striker Roberto Soldado.
For the visitors, Gonzalo Higuain has to be the player to back, given that he has scored seven in seven against Valencia and has 11 goals already this season. He's 1.80 anytime but consider a Higuain/Real Wincast at 5.00.
Tip: Gonzalo Higuain to score first and Real Madrid to win @ 5.0
