thumbnail Hello,

We have two more games from Spain's top flight and the home sides should be expected to march into the weekend with three points

La Liga's midweek fecha comes to a close with two intriguing encounters on Thursday. On the tapas menu is Espanyol - Getafe & Real Betis - Real Zaragoza.

The first is an early season clash between two sides who are disappointing their fans with some underwhelming form thus far. Hosts Espanyol have won just one game this season and lost the other two. Turning over Athletic Bilbao must come with the caveat that Marcelo Bielsa is completely remodelling the Basques while their defeats have come against hardly the most impressive of opposition.

Getafe can write off their defeat to Real Madrid (right) as an expected result and have a draw and a defeat from their other two games - both at home. With both sides so evenly matched in how poor they have been it could come down to something as simple as home advantage and Getafe won just three on the road last term.

Espanyol's excellent home record last season got them as many home points as third-placed Valencia. Home win looks the way to go here @ evens (2.0).

The second game of the night showcases La Liga's surprise package, a newly promoted and rampant Real Betis who have won all three of their games so far. Real Zaragoza have done fairly well considering their financial situation and will fancy their chances but 1.55 for the home win is too tempting considering their firecracker start.

Double Tip: Espanyol & Real Betis to win @ 3.55 (Sportingbet)
