thumbnail Hello,

Our say on the biggest games of the weekend...

Odds supplied by William Hill

We continue series this week 'Goal.com Predicts' where our worldwide team of editors have their say on the biggest games of the weekend. This week we have an international special as Slovenia take on Italy, Spain host Czech Republic and Wales play England as the race to reach Euro 2012 hots up.

There are traditional favourites in all three encounters, but it's up to our experts to decide if the odds may be upset by the outsiders. Slovenia have a good record against Italy, Spain have wobbled somewhat since their World Cup triumph and England remain unconvincing as a world heavyweight, giving hope for the underdogs.

Let's see what this week's panel expect to happen...

Slovenia - Italy
Match Odds: Slovenia 3.50, Draw 3.80, Italy 2.20 (William Hill)

Amar Singh - Goal.com UK
Slovenia 0-0 Italy

It could be a frustrating night for Cesare Prandelli's men against a Slovenia team that often performs above expectations against the Azzuri. Matjaz Kek's team are well organised and there is plenty of Serie A experience in his squad.
Paul Macdonald - Goal.com International
Slovenia 1-1 Italy

The Azzurri would happily accept a draw from this tough away fixture.
Ewan Macdonald - Goal.com International
Slovenia 0-1 Italy

The Azzurri's slow, slow road to recovery is set to continue in Ljubljana. Slovenia are no slouches, and their recent tournament pedigree makes that clear, but ultimately Italy know what they need to do and have the capability to do so, albeit in nervy fashion
Spain - Czech Republic
Match Odds: Spain 1.25, Draw 5.50, Czech Republic 13.0 (William Hill)

Amar Singh - Goal.com UK
Spain 2-0 Czech Republic

The Czech Republic will try to frustrate Spain, who have not always dazzled in matches since winning the World Cup. The quality and strength in depth of the Spaniards should shine through and whilst star striker Fernando Torres is hardly in stellar form for his club, Del Bosque can bring on players of the quality of Fernando Llorente and David Silva to break down a stubborn defence.
Paul Macdonald - Goal.com International
Spain 2-0 Czech Republic

La Furia Roja have been far from convincing in their recent outings, and the Czechs will come to contain, but the world champions should prove too strong for them.
Ewan Macdonald - Goal.com International
Spain 2-0 Czech Republic

Spain's forwards have been somewhat misfiring domestically, but they still have sufficient invention to see themselves past the Czech Republic. The Furia Roja are stronger in all areas of the pitch and the visitors shouldn't hold too much fear for the hosts.

Wales - England
Match Odds: Wales 8.0, Draw 4.50, England 1.40 (William Hill)

Amar Singh - Goal.com UK
Wales 1-2 England

Gareth Bale's withdrawal with a hamstring injury is a big blow to Wales manager Gary Speed, who would have fancied him to win the battle against Glen Johnson on the flank. The Millennium Stadium will provide an intimidating atmosphere for Fabio Capello's England team, but with Wayne Rooney's form picking up in recent weeks and the emergence of Jack Wilshere they should have enough quality and control to slay the Red Dragons
Paul Macdonald - Goal.com International
Wales 0-2 England

Gareth Bale's omission is a huge loss to the hosts, and England should prove too strong for them.
Ewan Macdonald - Goal.com International
Wales 1-3 England

Not too many problems for the Three Lions, who are hot favourites for a reason. There remain some question marks over both sides' defences and thus there's not likely to be a clean sheet, but England will prevail in the end
