Under pressure Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is the bookmakers' favourite to be the next Premier League managerial casualty following the Reds' latest defeat.

Dismal Liverpool were beaten at home by bottom of the table Wolves in a match where they were second best for the most part. It was Liverpool's eighth league defeat of the season and leaves the former European champions just three points off the relegation zone.

Hodgson is now trading at 2.75 (7/4) ahead of West Ham's Avram Grant 3.25 (9/4) to be given his marching orders imminently from Anfield.

"With Hodgson asking supporters to back him, and results worsening, it is difficult to see an early way back to acceptance by the fans and he may just decide that this is a classic case of right man, wrong club and walk away before he is sacked," said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
