Clemente, Resino & Manzano: Del Bosque has shown his wisdom in leading Spain to glory
Three of La Liga's coaching regulars were full of praise for the former Real Madrid boss, and reserved special commendation for his "personality, expertise, wisdom and humility"
Javier Clemente, Gregorio Manzano and Abel Resino, three former colleagues of Vicente del Bosque, have praised the Spain boss after La Roja's record-breaking 4-0 win over Italy in the Euro 2012 final on Sunday.
Goals from David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata completed a historic night for the Iberians, and the ex-Sporting Gijon trainer Clemente, Granada's Resino and former Atletico Madrid boss Manzano were quick to commend the national team and their coach after the final whistle.
“Del Bosque has again shown his personality, his expertise, his wisdom and humility to lead a group of professionals who gave everything for the team,” they told Marca.
“Spain have played their best match in the final. From the outset, they have been dominant and outnumbered the Italians."
Spain accomplished their unprecedented 'hat-trick' on Sunday when they became the first national team to win three major trophies in succession, adding the Euro 2012 crown to their 2008 European Championship and 2010 World Cup titles.
