Casillas: Benzema and Ribery are great players but our attack is better
The Real Madrid goalkeeper is wary of the threat posed by Les Bleus' forward-thinking players, but is confident that the world champions can cause Laurent Blanc's men problems

Casillas is captain of Real Madrid and Spain skipper, too. In his club role, it is his job to give support to his team-mates, one of whom is Benzema. Right now, however, his focus is La Roja - and he his right to back his international colleagues.
By saying his team's front players are superior to those he will come up against on Saturday, he is looking to hand a confidence boost to his attacking team-mates, aware of their importance tonight and - he hopes - later in the competition. Whether he believes it, however, is another thing altogether. |
The Real Madrid goalkeeper is wary of the threat posed by Les Bleus' attacking players, and is eager to get revenge for defeat by France back in 2000.
"Benzema and Ribery are great players but our attack is better than the French," he told reporters leading up to the game.
"The match will be difficult because France have a great coach. The first disappointment of my international career was our elimination in the quarter-finals of Euro 2000 by France [2-1].
"At the time they were world champions. Today, that's us," he concluded.
The game in Donetsk kicks off at 20:45CET.
