Uefa opens disciplinary proceedings against Croatia after crowd trouble against Spain

Fireworks, racist banners and inappropriate behaviour from the country's supporters has prompted an investigation, with Slaven Bilic's players also collecting six yellow cards
Uefa has opened disciplinary proceedings against the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) as a result of the behaviour of the country's fans in the match against Spain on Monday.
Fireworks thrown on to the pitch, racist banners and logos as well as inappropriate behaviour in the stadium in Gdansk caused the governing body to take action against HNS.
As well as the fans, the Croatian players will be investigated for improper conduct after collecting six yellow cards against Vicente del Bosque's team.
All of these disruptions did not do anything to help Croatia's campaign as the defeat confirmed their exit from Euro 2012 having fallen to third place in Group C.
A decision on the charges is to be made by the Uefa Control and Disciplinary body on Sunday June 24.
