Goal.com takes a look at the men who did not exactly cover themselves in glory now that the first round of the tournament has been consigned to the history books
Euro 2012 has been a resounding success on the pitch so far but some teams will head home with a bitter taste in their mouths.Netherlands, one of the pre-tournament favourites, did not pick up a single victory thanks to infighting and the drama within the squad that derailed their campaign.
Russia, who were top of Group A on the final matchday, looked lethargic and paid the price when the resilient Greeks dumped them out of the tournament.
There was no joy for the co-hosts as both Poland and Ukraine failed to advance to the quarter-finals, much to the chagrin of their boisterous supporters.
Now that the smoke has cleared, we take a look at the lowest-ranked players who have appeared in at least 40 per cent of their nation's games.
