Top 10 lowest rated players of Euro 2012 group stage
Goal.com takes a look at the men who did not exactly cover themselves in glory now that the first round of the tournament has been consigned to the history books
Euro 2012 has been a resounding success on the pitch so far but some teams will head home with a bitter taste in their mouths.Netherlands, one of the pre-tournament favourites, did not pick up a single victory thanks to infighting and the drama within the squad that derailed their campaign.
Russia, who were top of Group A on the final matchday, looked lethargic and paid the price when the resilient Greeks dumped them out of the tournament.
There was no joy for the co-hosts as both Poland and Ukraine failed to advance to the quarter-finals, much to the chagrin of their boisterous supporters.
Now that the smoke has cleared, we take a look at the lowest-ranked players who have appeared in at least 40 per cent of their nation's games.

It comes as no surprise that we find six Republic of Ireland players at the bottom of our ratings index - the Boys in Green were outshone at the best of times in Group C.
Their frustration boiled over when Keith Andrews was sent off for dissent and had a few choice words for the referee before kicking the ball away in disgust.
Two goalkeepers share the dubious honour of being ranked amongst the lowest at Euro 2012 in the form of Greece shot stopper Kostas Chalkias and Ireland custodian Shay Given.
The Aston Villa 'keeper conceded nine times in the tournament and admitted that he is likely to call time on his international career. The 38-year-old veteran PAOK glovesman, meanwhile, shipped three goals before getting hurt early in Greece's second game of the competition.
Netherlands' disastrous campaign sees defender John Heitinga make the list as the Everton man looked lost at sea for large chunks of the matches he featured in.
Poland failed to reach the quarter-finals and Dariusz Dudka did not win over any fans with his sub-par displays in midfield.
Goal.com has provided player ratings for every match in the competition so far and will continue to do so up until the final on July 1.
