thumbnail Hello,

The manager has a tough choice to make with the Arsenal shotstopper coming back from suspension and the substitute impressing while deputising agaist Greece and Russia

Franciszek Smuda will decide on Friday who will start in goal for Poland against the Czech Republic.

Wojciech Szczesny and Przemyslaw Tyton go into this weekend's game not knowing who will get the nod in the last group game, after the former was sent off in the opening game against Greece.

Tyton came on and saved the subsequent spot kick and went on to help his country earn a point in their second game against Russia to give his manager a difficult decision ahead of their must-win tie to decide their fate in the tournament.

Smuda told Voetbal International: "I will make my decision 24 hours prior to the match. Both goalkeepers have their strong points."

Despite his standing as deputy to Szczesny, Tyton spoke of his confidence at securing the starting berth against the Czechs.

"We shall see who will be the manager's choice. I'm interested who will gain the confidence of the manager. To be honest I'm expecting to play, but it's the manager's choice,” Tyton said.

His rival for the position, Szczesny added: "The manager decides. I'm ready, I'm confident, so I hope he'll choose me. This is the beauty of sport, you want to fight for your spot."
