The Seleccao are already staring elimination in the face after slumping to a 1-0 defeat against Germany in their opening game in the so-called 'Group of Death'Miguel Veloso has admitted that Portugal cannot even afford to think about losing to Denmark if they are to have any hope of keeping their Euro 2012 dream alive in Lviv on Wednesday evening.
The Seleccao were beaten 1-0 by Germany in their opening game in Group B, meaning defeat is simply not an option against Morten Olsen's men, who caused the biggest shock of the tournament to date by recording a 1-0 win over Netherlands in Kharkiv.
"Losing is something that we cannot think about," Veloso told reporters at a press conference on Monday. "We will enter the game with Denmark with the goal to win the match, just like we always do.
"I have seen teams progress from the group stage with only three points and we will have to believe until the last moment."

Portugal were twice denied by the woodwork in their loss to Germany but they have come in for criticism from some sections of the media for playing too defensively. However, that is not a view shared by Veloso.
"I do not agree, but I respect those opinions," the Bologna midfielder explained. "We were humble and we respected Germany, who are a great side, and defending is also part of football.
"We did it quite well, we also created chances to score but we could not capitalise on them. Now we have to think about the next game."
Portugal's vital meeting with Denmark in Lviv is scheduled to kick off at 18:00CET.
