It's now or never for Poland, says Obraniak

The Bordeaux midfielder feels that his side will never have a better opportunity to reach the latter stages of a major tournament, and must take their opportunity now
Poland playmaker Ludovic Obraniak says that the time has come for his compatriots to stand up and fight for their place in the knockout stages of Euro 2012.

The co-hosts have been drawn alongside Czech Republic, Russia and Greece in Group A, and the Bordeaux man feels that they have a fantastic opportunity to reach the quarter-finals.

"Our group is not easy," he told FranceFootball. "But it's very open. We'll be frank: if we don't qualify from that group, we'll never qualify!

"We've avoided Germany, Netherlands, Italy and France, and we're playing all of our matches at home. Our chance is here. It's now or never!"

Poland get the European Championship underway with the opening fixture against Greece at 18:00CET on June 8.
