Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he believes Portugal's can make it out of the so-called 'Group of Death'.

The Seleccao have been drawn together with Germany, Netherlands and Denmark, but Ronaldo is relieved that his side are not favoured to make it past the group stage as such a tag would only invite more pressure.

"We know we are in a very tough group, the group of death," he told bwin.com.

"We have some some very difficult games coming up, but I am confident we will go beyond the group stage.

"I know that we are not favourites and I am glad for that.

"I am not expecting many surprises at the Euros, because Spain are very strong and there are also other sides who are very strong, too."

Portugal will kick off their Euro campaign against Germany on June 9.
