MUNICIPAL STADIUM, POZNAN
|
|
|
Opened: 1980
Official capacity: 41,609 |
Highest attendance: 45,000
Lech Poznan v Widzew Lodz, Apr '84 |

Euro 2012 Matches

Jun 14: Group C2 vs Group C4, 18.00 CET
Jun 18: Group C2 vs Group C3, 20.45 CET
Located
The stadium is situated in the southwestern part of Poznan. Poznan's green and yellow buses are the best way to reach the ground from the city centre, while a second tram line to complement the current one running to the north of the city will also be ready by the tournament's opening.
Atmosphere
High, sloping stands and a roof which looms over part of the pitch should ensure noise levels remain high during fixtures.
Did You Know?
The completion of the stadium's renovation in September 2010 was marked by the performance of Sting, who was on tour promoting his album Symphonicities and held a concert inside the ground.
