The former Bordeaux boss has excluded his side from being among those hotly tipped for glory in Poland and Ukraine next year
The French could find themselves being placed in a group which contains teams such as Spain, the Netherlands and Germany once the draw takes place on December 2.
Blanc has reacted to his side being placed in pot four ahead of the draw, and he is pessimistic over his side's chances of winning the tournament, though he believes they can cause an upset in a one-off affair.
Asked by the press whether France can win Euro 2012, Blanc said: "I would say no. Any one match yes [we can win], but not the tournament.
"We know hat 1. It will be most playable if we fall on Ukraine or Poland. We have a chance of getting one of the two."
The draw to determine the groups for the finals will take place in Kiev.
