Hamit Altintop returns for Turkey ahead of Germany & Azerbaijan clashes

Guus Hiddink recalls the Real Madrid man along with Paris Saint-Germain's Mevlut Erding for vital Euro 2012 qualifiers

Turkey boss Guus Hiddink has recalled Real Madrid's Hamit Altintop and Paris Saint-Germain's Mevlut Erding for the Euro 2012 qualifiers with Germany and Azerbaijan.

Altintop missed the clashes with Kazakhstan and Austria earlier this month through injury and was missed as his side managed a single goal victory and a draw respectively. Erding, on the other hand, has been used sparingly since Hiddink replaced Oguz Cetin a year ago.

Elsewhere, Bayer Leverkusen defender Omer Toprak has been handed a first call-up after electing to represent Turkey over his native Germany, while fellow Bundesliga youngsters Mehmet Ekici, Tunay Torun and Gokhan Tore all make the squad.

Turkey see out their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign with ties against Germany on Friday and Azerbaijan the following Tuesday, both at Galatasaray's Turk Telekom Arena.
