The young defender is set to make his debut for the World Cup winners, and the Chelsea striker is also included despite recent reports suggesting he would not be named

Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque has announced his 23-man squad for the upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers away against Czech Republic on October 7 and at home versus Scotland four days later.

Valencia defender Jorbi Alba is the biggest surprise in Del Bosque's squad, as the 22-year-old has been called up for the first time after some impressive performances in the opening weeks of the 2011-12 campaign.

Chelsea forward Fernando Torres has also been included, despite recent reports from Spain that the former Liverpool star could be dropped following his disappointing club form.

Barcelona midfielder and World Cup hero Andres Iniesta is still unavailable due to injury and has been left out.

Spain have collected 18 points from six games and sit top of of the table in Group I. They have already qualified for next year's tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
