Among those arrested was Ivan Bogdanov, the alleged ringleader of the Serbian 'fans'.
Police found the instigator of the crowd trouble in the boot of a bus that was set to take the Serbian fans back home again after the curtailed match. Bogdanov had his face covered by a mask during his misconduct, but his tattooed arms allowed the police to identify him.
The 29-year-old Bogdanov climbed onto a barrier separating fans from the pitch ahead of the game and sliced apart a mesh fence with a cutter before launching fireworks toward the Italian shot stopper Emiliano Viviano.
According to a report on B92, Bogdanov has a criminal record and has been arrested several times before for drug possession. He is also believed to be the leader of one of the most notorious Red Star Belgrade fan groups.
