Stand-In Coach Aleksandar Jankovic Demands Serbia Improve After Slovenia Draw
Serbia coach Aleksandar Jankovic is content with draw against Slovenia but seeks improvement from the White Eagles.
By Paul Madden
The White Eagles had to rely on a late goal from Birmingham City striker Nikola Zigic after Milivoje Novakovic had given the visitors the lead shortly after the hour mark and afterwards Jankovic, who is standing in for banned coach Radomir Antic, noted that they had to be content with the draw in the end but must improve in their forthcoming ties.
"We have to be happy with the result because we equalised so late in the game, they caused us a lot of problems and our final ball was poor all evening," Jankovic said afterwards at a press conference.
"We have to raise our game for our upcoming matches against Estonia and Italy if we are to stay in contention for a place in the finals."
