Faroe Islands coach Brian Kerr might be disappointed with his side's 5-0 loss to Italy, but he is definitely angry with the condition of the pitch his players were forced to train on prior to the Euro 2012 qualifier.
Kerr believes had they been a world-class team, the story may have been different.
"Italy played very well this evening, but for the Faroe Islands, the Azzurri are a team way above us," Kerr revealed post-match to FirenzeViola. "Cesare Prandelli had a strong formation, as he chose to play a lot of Fiorentina players.
"I still have not received any apologies from the Italian Federation for the training grounds, but this problem did not predetermine the result of the match.
"I am surprised, though, that a city such as Florence could not have offered us better training camps. Had we been a side such as France, there would not have been this problem," added Kerr.
