Turkey cruised to an easy 3-0 win against Kazakhstan on Friday evening, but the Yildizlar face more difficult opponents on Tuesday when they lock horns with Belgium. Head coach Guus Hiddink is aware of Belgium's class and has demanded a passionate performance from his team.
The sides previously met in 2008 and Turkey were held to a 1-1 draw at home before being beaten 2-0 in the away game.
"I wasn't there two years ago, but I know for sure that we have made some serious improvement since then. We don't care about what happened in the past. My players know exactly what to do and are very well prepared," said Hiddink to HLN.
"We visited the basketball match between Turkey and France last weekend and Turkey's win was a boost for our morale. They showed us how to win a match. They played a good game and were very passionate. That's what I want to see as well.
"I'm hopeful that we will be able to record a good result against Belgium. The stadium will be packed and the atmosphere will be of great help for us."
