thumbnail Hello,

Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp is not happy with Turkey chief Guus Hiddink's decision not to field Nuri Sahin.

Turkey cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win against Kazakhstan on Friday evening, but highly rated playmaker Nuri Sahin didn't play any role in his side's win. Turkey coach Guus Hiddink didn't need the Borussia Dortmund star and sent Sahin to the stands, much to the dismay of Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp.

"Things seem to be going extremely well for Turkey if they can afford to send a player like Nuri to the stands. I'm not only very surprised with Guus Hiddink's decision, but I'm even finding it hard to believe this actually happened," Klopp was quoted as saying by Bild.

"Nuri put in a sensational performance for Dortmund in the match against Stuttgart. I really don't have a clue why he's having such a hard time breaking into the team with Turkey."

Sahin himself was pretty disappointed as well, but made it clear that he respects Hiddink's decision.

"Of course, I'm disappointed that I didn't play. However, the coach is the one who makes the decisions. All I can do is do my utmost to convince him of my class."
