New France coach Laurent Blanc was unable to guide Les Bleus to victory against Belarus on Friday evening and the French will be desperate to bounce back with a win against Bosnia on Tuesday evening. However, Blanc has admitted that it's very possible that France will have to settle for a draw.
"Bosnia is a nation that has suffered a lot during the war. Football is a way out for the Bosnians. They're very proud people and will do their utmost to record a good result against France. A difficult match awaits us," said Blanc to L'Equipe.
"We can't say in advance whether a draw is a good result for us. That depends on how the match goes. Bosnia are a good team and we can expect them to give their utmost.
"We have never said that we have not set our sights on the full three points against Bosnia. However, we have to be realistic. We also struggled against Belarus. It's easy to discuss things ahead of the match, but I prefer to act rather than talk.
"I don't know whether it's an advantage for us that Bosnia are the home team and will take the initiative. They are a team that likes to be in possession and it's up to us to defend very well. Bosnia are the strongest opponent in our group and we have to make sure that we don't spill too many points against them."
