After a disappointing start to their qualifying campaign Scotland captain Darren Fletcher has called on his team-mates to put the goalless draw with Lithuania behind them and concentrate on beating Liechtenstein on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old, who will win his 50th cap, admitted there can be no further slip-ups by the Scots with Spain and the Czech Republic alongside them in Group I.

"With respect for qualifying for Euros, then there can be no slip-ups," Fletcher told Sky Sports.

"If we can get three points [against Liechtenstein] and then four points from the two games, then it's a satisfactory start and it's not too bad a position from then on.

"We've got games coming up against Czech Republic and Spain, so that's why it's imperative against Liechtenstein to get three points. Anything other than that is disastrous towards qualifying.”

And the captain, who made his debut for the national side in 2003, insisted he will not be celebrating his personal milestone unless his side get all three points.

“Hopefully with the three points and a nice win I can look back and enjoy the fact that I've gained 50 caps for my country and be very proud of that."
