Tottenham Star Luka Modric To Make Return From Injury For Croatia In Euro 2012 Qualifier Against Greece - Report
Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric could make his return from injury in Croatia's Euro 2012 qualifying clash against Greece on Tuesday, according to Press Association Sport.
Modric, 24, has not featured for club and country since picking up a thigh strain in the 3-2 Champions League play-off, first leg defeat to Young Boys. Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has bemoaned his absence and cited it as a reason for the shock loss to Wigan Athletic last weekend.
The 42-times capped playmaker missed the 3-0 victory against Latvia on Friday but is now on the verge of a comeback. Modric's presence will significantly boost head coach Slaven Bilic's options for his team's second Group F fixture.
