Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has hailed his side's 1-0 win against Armenia in a Group B Euro 2012 qualifier on Friday.
A Keith Fahey goal 14 minutes from time was enough for Ireland to claim all three points and speaking after the match, Trapattoni expressed his pleasure at the victory.
"It was hot out there and we made some mistakes in our passing in the first half as the players were a bit tense," said the Italian, according to the BBC. "We reorganised a bit at half-time, our movement was better after the break and Keith Fahey did well to get the goal."
Fahey was ecstatic to score his first international goal for the Boys In Green and said he was just following the manager's orders.
"It was great to be involved and the ball just bounced for me and I put it way. I was instructed to go out and get involved and that is what I did.
"Armenia looked dangerous on the break and at set-pieces but we managed to keep them at bay."
