Antonio Cassano, Giampaolo Pazzini and Simone Pepe could be given the nod when Italy visit Estonia on Friday night.

The coach tested an attacking trident with the trio and Sky Sport Italia claims that could be the spearhead of his team in their Euro 2012 qualifying opener in Tallinn.

Prandelli's formation was based on a 4-3-3 and it seems Pazzini will start ahead of Alberto Gilardino, who has not scored for Italy for almost a year. He has not struck for la Nazionale since netting a hat-trick their 3-2 win over Cyprus in October 2009.

In fact, Italy have only scored seven goals in 2010, suggesting an urgent need for reform up front with their botched World Cup attempt feeling the brunt of a sterile attack.

Prandelli hopes that will change this week though. Italy head out to Tallinn from Pisa on Thursday afternoon hoping to lay down an early marker for the road ahead.
