England host Bulgaria on Friday night in their first competitive match since their disappointing 2010 World Cup campaign and the objective is maximum points to kick-start their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.
The Bulgarians won't be pushovers though and have some class acts in their team with players such as Stanislav Manolev and Stiliyan Petrov.
Head coach Fabio Capello will have to make do without several key players on Friday. Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand still isn't fully recovered from the injury that kept him out of England's World Cup squad, while Chelsea duo John Terry and Frank Lampard withdrew from the squad due to injury. Spurs forward Jermain Defoe was included despite suffering with a groin problem.

Scott Carson (West Brom), Ben Foster (Birmingham), Joe Hart (Manchester City)
