Fulham winger Damien Duff will miss the Republic of Ireland’s qualifier against Armenia on Friday with a calf injury.

Duff, 31, sustained the injury against Blackpool on Saturday and will be assessed by his club before a decision is made whether he will be available to face Andorra next week.

The news comes after Blackburn Rovers’ Keith Andrews was ruled out of both matches after picking up a groin injury, so Derby County midfielder Paul Green could start in midfield.

Hull City defender Paul McShane is also doubtful for the match against Armenia with a calf injury, while Stoke City’s Liam Lawrence and Preston’s Keith Treacy could also miss the game through injury.
